Does it ever feel impossible to get a trip on the calendar? With the day-to-day responsibilities it can feel so daunting to research and plan for your next trip. We can begin to get bogged down with the details. In this age of information being at our fingertips it can be a bit of a detriment to us.

That is where hiring a travel agent is a benefit. I have planned trips for years and years for my family, and sometimes it just got to be a lot deciding the timing, where we were going, what we were doing and all the other small details. Quite often we ended up not doing a wide variety of trips because of having to manage all the things. There was just a lot going on in my house. Life is busy!

Last year I finally looked to have my long-time friend and accountability partner plan a trip for me. This is where everything changed!

We booked our first cruise last year, and I had done some initial research of various cruise lines and pricing so I knew what I was getting myself into.

I quickly realized that I needed some additional help, so I picked up the phone and asked my dear friend and travel expert! Cindy was able to help me understand more about room levels, what’s included in the cruise rate, what I would need to pay for later, and even what to expect when I cruised.

She helped to take care of the details that I didn’t even know I needed to take care of!

By the time we were ready to cruise I felt comfortable and confident trying something new because Cindy walked alongside me. She even saved me time, by calling the cruise line to confirm details for me that I had questions on. When we had a hiccup with our online check in, we were able to take a few minutes to call her and ask for guidance so we could get our issue taken care of quickly.

It was so great having her on our side! 

She gave us tips, best practices, and made sure we were missing any important details for our trip.

We immediately got our next cruise set up because we were so in love with the experience, and we were sold on having a travel agent and friend in our corner!

Just a few months after our cruise we decided to try another last-minute new thing by going to an all-inclusive resort. So again, I got on the phone, and she answered questions for me, and got us booked within a short amount of time. Again, she walked us through the whole process of what to expect with the all-inclusive resort, transfers, at the resort, traveling internationally and so much more.

I was so prepared with what to expect I was answering questions for other guests while we were at the resort.

My husband looked at me and said, Sarah, I think you need to give being a travel agent a go!

The rest is history. I interviewed Cindy, and she interviewed me. I joined her Blue Shore Vacations team, and the rest is history.

I love being able to help others get to travel. I can help them by taking something off their already full plate so they can simply go on their trip and enjoy themselves. I get to minimize the number of decisions they have to make where they really get to enjoy their trip even more.
